At the heart of all we do is our Church moto:

Working in unity to bring a spirit of freedom, love and togetherness, following the example of Jesus Christ, to the local community.

We are passionate about seeing the community coming through the doors of George Road Community Church.

The Church is situated on a main road with a popular bus route and has a small car park with extra parking space on the road side. There are three schools in the area, ranging from infants to college and a range of different public services such as a library, doctors surgery, pharmacy and parks.

Some years ago the Church underwent a major refurbishment programme. The old wooden pews were removed, as was our old pipe organ, and new chairs were purchased allowing for a more versatile layout.

We also had a large extension built to include a minor hall, prayer/meeting room, office space, storage cupboards and toilets, all of which are easily accessible for disabled people.

We have an average of 40 people attend each week, a number of whom serve before, during and after the service as well as throughout the week to help things run smoothly.

The Church has an excellent sound system (including a loop system for those with hearing aids) and laptop with a ceiling-mounted projector allowing us to project song lyrics, Bible passages and presentations onto a big screen or to video show clips.

Our church offers a number of different activities to community each week as well as a various family events throughout the year, such as Messy Church, summer fetes, fun days, themed dinner evenings, Christmas carol service and much more.
